Hora do Remédio

Smart alarms and an adherence history so no medication is ever forgotten.

Academic project (APS)

Hora do Remédio

The problem

People on continuous medication rely on memory — and missing a dose has consequences. Hora do Remédio organizes the routine: simple registration, frequency-based alarms with extra reminders, and a visual adherence calendar so patients (and their caregivers) can see how the treatment is going.

What the app does

Medication registration

Name, dosage and administration form — with listing, swipe-to-delete and confirmation.

Frequency-based alarms

Daily by interval (24h, 12h, 8h, 6h), weekly or monthly — with automatic schedule calculation and short-month handling.

Extra reminders

Follow-ups at +5, +15 and +30 minutes after the main alarm, for doses that cannot be missed.

Dose tracking

Marking a dose as taken updates the history and reschedules the next cycle automatically.

Adherence calendar

Monthly view colored by status (taken, pending, upcoming) to measure treatment adherence.

Autocomplete on ANVISA data

Fuzzy search with Levenshtein distance on an isolate plus debounce, over a medication database processed by a custom Python pipeline.

Offline-first

All data is persisted locally with secure storage — the app works without internet.
